While you can’t live at the spa (at least not to our knowledge!), you can still achieve healthy, beautiful skin at home. The key is to have a plan for taking care of your skin on a daily basis, and sticking to it.

Each morning and evening you need to follow an established routine. This can be adjusted slightly based on your skin type (oily/dry, etc.), but remember: consistency is the key!

  • Wash your face every night with a mild (not abrasive) cleanser and warm (not hot) water. Use a washcloth or Clarisonic brush to thoroughly remove makeup and daily grime. In the morning simply splash your face with warm water to avoid washing your face too much.
  • Moisturize your face in the morning and evening. Find a day moisturizer and night moisturizer that are appropriate for your skin type. Do not avoid moisturizer even if you have oily skin.
  • Apply sunscreen each day before heading out. Don’t like the way sunscreen feels? Find a moisturizer that includes sunscreen (at least SPF 15); they tend to absorb better and won’t leave your face looking greasy.
